In July 2024, we launched our inaugural Educator Camp. Hosted at the idyllic Beaver Hollow Conference Center. Teachers and school leaders from across North America left with a new community of collaborators, and practical tools to transform their work.

FAQs

Here are some commonly asked questions about Deeper Learning Educator Camp.

  • DL Educator Camp is designed for K-12 educators who work at all levels of school systems who are interested in deeper learning, including classroom educators of all subjects and grade levels, principals, assistant principals, instructional coaches, and district-level administrators.

  • During the application process, you will be asked to share your role and goals for implementing deeper learning practices. You will asked to select one of three “pods” to join based on your deeper learning journey: classroom practice, adult learning, or system-level change. The “pod” becomes your “home base” -- a place to reflect, push your thinking, test new ideas, and translate inspiration into action. Additionally, you will experience immersive workshops and sessions designed by experienced educators and our featured speakers that allow you to understand what deeper learning feels and looks like. Finally, Ed Campers will work with their peers and pod leaders to produce and share tangible deliverables that will guide their work for the new school year.

  • DL Ed Campers will receive a Certificate of Completion indicating the number of hours of professional development completed through the experience. Participants are responsible for determining whether their organization will accept the CEUs and for submitting the certificate.

  • We understand that school budgets can be tight and we do have limited funding available to supplement costs for the program.
